Duty Free PH to ink partnerships with Vivere Hotel, Robinsons Hotels

State-run Duty Free Philippines Corporation (DFPC) on Saturday announced it is entering into partnerships within the hospitality sector as part of its 39th anniversary initiatives.

In a news release, DFPC said it is set to hold on May 20 a ceremonial signing with Vivere Hotel and another partnership with Robinsons Hotels and Resorts to expand its network of partners that offer added benefits to its balikbayan members.

The Department of Tourism (DOT)-attached firm said that, under its partnerships with the hospitality groups, "balikbayan cardholders can enjoy perks and privileges, including up to 30% discounts on hotel stays upon presentation of their membership card—extending the value of duty-free shopping beyond retail and into travel and leisure experiences.”

“These efforts form part of DFPC’s broader push to evolve its offerings—from traditional pasalubong shopping to a more integrated travel experience that connects retail with hospitality and other services,” it said.

DFPC added it continues to support the country’s tourism sector through revenue generation while enhancing the overall travel retail experience.

Moreover, the state-run company said it is offering up to 50% discounts on select items to shoppers in FiestaMall in Parañaque City this May, which coincides with the Mother’s Day weekend.

“Running from May 10 to 17, the expanded anniversary sale at Duty Free Philippines FiestaMall brings together discounted selections across a wide range of categories, from imported chocolates and premium wines and spirits to beauty essentials, fashion pieces, and travel must-haves—offering timely options for those looking to pick out gifts,” DFPC said.

“Adding to the occasion, DFPC will also hold a simple in-store activity on May 10, where mothers visiting FiestaMall and Luxe Duty Free in Pasay City will receive flowers as a gesture of appreciation,” it said. —VBL, GMA News
