Jollibee says staff accounted for, no injuries reported at quake-hit sites

Jollibee on Monday said that it has not received any reports of injuries at its stores in areas affected by the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck the waters off Sarangani in Mindanao that morning.

In a statement, the fast food giant also said that all of its employees at its stores in General Santos City have been accounted for, after photos and video emerged of a Jollibee store in the city collapsing due to the quake.

"We join our fellow Filipinos in prayer and solidarity," Jollibee said, adding, "Our hearts go out to all those affected by this unfortunate event. During this time, the safety of our customers and store team members remain our highest priority."

"We continue to closely monitor the situation and coordinate with the proper authorities to verify all information," the company said. "We stand with our communities during this difficult time." — BM, GMA News
