CIAC inks lease deal with Boeing supplier Heatcon
State-run Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC), the aviation and land development arm of Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), has signed a 25-year lease agreement with repair solutions company Heatcon Asia Inc.—a key supplier to aerospace giant Boeing.
In a news release on Wednesday, CIAC said the lease deal was inked by CIAC president and CEO Jojit Alcazar and Heatcon Asia president Howard Victor Banasky on Tuesday, June 9.
The agreement formalizes the establishment of Heatcon’s manufacturing, material distribution, and in-shop composite repair facility within the Clark Civil Aviation Complex, according to the state-run firm.
"This investment represents a key turning point in Clark’s continued emergence as a leading aviation and aerospace hub," said Alcazar.
He added that “Heatcon’s facilities support major aviation players in the region, including Boeing, and are expected to further strengthen Clark’s position as an attractive destination for aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services.”
Heatcon is a global manufacturer and supplier of aerospace composite repair equipment. —VBL, GMA News
