US business mission to visit PH from July 6 to 10 - DTI

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) on Thursday said a delegation of more than 25 US business executives and investors will visit the Philippines from July 6 to 10 to explore business, tourism, and investment opportunities.

In a news release, the DTI said the mission aims to strengthen economic ties and encourage more US companies to invest in the country's growing economy.

The delegation includes executives from major US investment firms across the Northeast, Midwest, and other regions of the United States.

During the five-day visit, the delegates will meet with Philippine government officials and local business leaders.

"The trip comes at a time when the Philippines is actively working to attract international businesses and position itself as a key partner for US companies seeking to expand in Asia," the DTI said.

The mission will include business meetings, investment briefings, and site visits to major economic hubs in Manila, Clark, Subic, and Corregidor.

While in Manila, the delegation will attend a business forum hosted by local banks, business organizations, and the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines.

The forum will highlight investment opportunities in sectors such as renewable energy, banking, telecommunications, manufacturing, housing, tourism, and shipping.

The DTI said economic and tourism agencies will also host meetings to showcase the country's investment potential, highlighting the Philippines' digital infrastructure and skilled workforce.

The delegates will likewise tour development areas managed by local hub authorities in Clark and Subic.

The visit will conclude with a tour of Corregidor Island, a historic site symbolizing the long-standing relationship between the Philippines and the United States.

The mission is organized by the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in New York and the Philippine Consulates General in New York and Chicago, in partnership with public and private sector organizations in both countries. — VBL, GMA News
