SSS hikes stake in Century Properties

The Social Security System (SSS) has increased its shareholdings in Century Properties Group Inc.

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, Century Properties reported that SSS acquired additional common shares in the company, effectively increasing its stake to 9.9% from 6.4%.

The pension fund’s additional investment follows its initial acquisition of 740,740,741 common shares in the property developer last July 2025.

Century Properties said SSS’s increased investment represents a strong vote of confidence in the company’s fundamentals, governance, growth strategy, and shareholder return profile.

“We are deeply honored by SSS’s continued confidence in Century Properties Group,” said Marco Antonio, president and CEO of Century Properties.

“This additional investment recognizes the strength of our fundamentals, our long-term strategy, and our commitment to deliver sustainable value to shareholders. We will continue to focus on catering to the end-user market, thereby allowing us to pay a steady and

healthy stream of dividends to our shareholders, while keeping our debt profile at moderate levels,” said Antonio.

The company said the transaction was completed through a block sale executed via the PSE, in compliance with applicable regulatory and disclosure requirements.

“From a capital markets perspective, SSS’s additional investment is a clear endorsement of Century Properties’ fundamentals, governance standards, financial discipline, and shareholder return profile,” said Rodel Marqueses, Century Properties chief financial officer and head of Investor Relations. — Ted Cordero/RSJ, GMA News
