Bangko Sentral sells P10,000, P500 commemorative coins

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) is selling commemorative coins to mark the 70 years of central banking in the country and celebrate its 25th anniversary.

The BSP is selling the following commemorative coins, as posted on its Facebook page:

  • 10,000-Piso Gold Commemorative Coin (for the 70 years of Central Banking in the Philippines, worth P127,500)
  • 500-Piso Silver Commemorative Coin (for the 70 years of Central Banking in the Philippines, worth P3,500)
  • 500-Piso Silver Commemorative Coin (for the 25th Anniversary of the BSP, worth P3,500)

Orders should be placed not later than January 15, 2020 on a “first mail-in, first listed” basis, the BSP said.

However, due to the high value of commemorative coins, cash payment and pick-up schedule will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the nearest BSP branch.

The order will also be forfeited if the commemorative coins remain unclaimed two weeks after the scheduled date of pick-up.
