Gasoline and kerosene pump prices up Tuesday; diesel down

Fuel retailers on Monday announced mixed movements in pump prices for the week, with gasoline and kerosene set to rise while diesel will be rolled back for the second straight week.

Below are the price adjustments announced by oil firms so far:

Petro Gazz

  • Gasoline: + P1.93
  • Diesel: - P1.30

Shell Pilipinas Corp.

  • Gasoline: + P1.90
  • Diesel: - P1.30
  • Kerosene: + P3.30

The adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.

Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.

Oil industry sources previously forecast cuts of more than P1 per liter this week, citing the G7 nations’ plan to release emergency oil and diesel reserves over the next four months, which reduces the chance that the United States will proceed with restricting diesel exports.

Firms last week rolled back prices per liter of gasoline by at least P0.24, diesel by P7.57, and kerosene by P5.85.

Prior to last week’s adjustments, year-to-date adjustments stood at a net increase of P69.90 per liter for gasoline, P73.68 for diesel, and P64.54 for kerosene as of September 22, 2026. — RSJ, GMA News
