PHL, Kuwait to hold bilateral talks

The Philippines and Kuwait will hold bilateral meetings starting Friday when the Amir, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber, arrives for a five-day state visit, Malacañang said Thursday.   President Benigno Aquino III will welcome Sheikh Sabah at 5:30 p.m. in Malacañang before the two leaders and their assistants  buckle down to business.   The Amir was invited by President Aquino to reaffirm their respective countries’ commitments to reinforcing bilateral ties and cooperation.   Kuwait is one of the Philippines’ leading investment and development partners in the Middle East.   During the five-day visit, Aquino and the Amir will also witness the signing of at least five documents covering the bilateral and diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Kuwait. — Amita Legaspi/VS, GMA News
