Foreign and local companies are competing to execute the master plan of a 36,000-hectare portion of Clark Special Economic Zone and develop it into a world-class investment destination in Southeast Asia, state-run Bases Conversion and Development Authority said Wednesday.

Among these are Palafox Associates, AECOM Philippines of Parsons and Fildravo joint venture Filipinas Dravo Corp., and Woodfields Consultants, BCDA vice president Dean Santiago told reporters in an interview Wednesday.

"We are hopeful that the winning bidder would be known by the end of this month," Santiago said, noting a minimum bid price of P26 million was set for the project.

The winning bidder would be given six months to prepare the master plan, Santiago said.

When the master plan is completed, "it will make Clark a highly-integrated, high-tech green community where Bonifacio Global City meets Silicon Valley amidst a lush greenery," BCDA president and chief executive Arnel Paciano Casanova said earlier. —VS/KG, GMA News
