New state-of-the-art entertainment center soon to rise in Pasig

A 20,000-square meter entertainment and commercial arcade with state-of-the-art cinemas and cozy restaurants will soon rise at the Ortigas Business District in Pasig City. This was after developer Ortigas & Co. recently signed an agreement with Music Museum Group, Inc. (MMGI) to construct Paragon at the southern end of the district. The project is set to be completed in December 2015, according to Joey Santos, real estate division general manager of Ortigas & Co. He said aside from cinemas and food and beverage tenants, Paragon will also have two basement-level parking areas connected to Estancia, a high-end mall in Capitol Commons. “In the next couple of months we will start building the basement parking levels with a completion opening in December 2015,” Santos said Tuesday. He added Paragon will rise alongside the development’s key structures including five residential towers, various indoor and outdoor retail establishments, and a new Unimart supermarket. MMGI has been working in partnership with Ortigas & Co. for the past 25 years as one of the pioneering tenants of Greenhills Shopping Center with the Music Museum, later followed by Greenhills Theater Mall and the Promenade. The Music Museum concept began in the late 80s to give local audiences a taste of New York and Las Vegas entertainment with a bit of historical flair. Ortigas & Co., on the other hand, is the developer behind Greenhills Shopping Center, Tiendesitas at Frontera Verde, and soon, Estancia at Capitol Commons. — KBK, GMA News
