The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board has issued a 90-day provisional authority to a cooperative to operate 13 e-jeeps plying routes in Metro Manila.
LTFRB Chairman Winston Ginez on Monday posted images of the provisional authority granted to GETS Cooperative to operate 13 COMET e-jeeps.

Under the provisional authority dated Jan. 7, the e-jeeps will ply routes between SM North Edsa and Katipunan Avenue via C-5.
Global Environmental Transport Services Cooperative (GETS) has sought a provisional authority to operate 13 electric jeeps for the route.
LTFRB regional director Rodolfo Jaucian, who signed the provisional authority, said public service and convenience will be best served with such a provisional authority.
Jaucian added GETS was financially and legally capable of operating the jeeps.
But he required the cooperative to secure personal passenger accident insurance for the 13 units from LTFRB-accredited passenger accident insurance providers.
Earlier, the City Optimized Managed Electric Transport (COMET) sought a franchise covering a new route for e-jeepneys.
The COMET e-jeep includes a reloadable card payment system called the GET pass. Each e-jeep has a WiFi connection, a flatscreen TV, and a security camera. —Joel Locsin/NB, GMA News
