Power interruptions may occur on Wednesday and Thursday in parts of Isabela and Ifugao and in Quirino province, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines said.

In an advisory posted on Monday, the NGCP said Isabela and Quirino may experience a power outage from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11.

Areas affected include those serviced by the Isabela Electric Cooperative I and the entire Quirino Electric Cooperative franchise.

These include Santiago City, Cordon, Ramon, and parts of San Isidro, Isabela; and entire QUIRELCO franchise area.

NGCP said this is due to the annual preventive maintenance and testing of the 40-megavolt and 15-megavolt Transformers, and replacement of selected lines along Santiago-Aglipay 69-kilovolt line.

On Feb. 12, Thursday, parts of ISELCO I and Ifugao Electric Cooperative may expect power interruptions from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Affected areas include Cauayan City, Alicia, Echague, Jones, San Agustin, San Guillermo, Angadanan, Luna, Cabatuan, and San Mateo, Isabela; and Aguinaldo and Alfonso Lista, Ifugao.

This is due to the annual preventive maintenance and testing of the 50-megavolt and 15-megavolt transformers at NGCP’s Santiago and Cauayan substation.

Also, the NGCP said this is due as well to the replacement of selected lines along the Santiago-Cauayan 69-kilovolt line. —Joel Locsin/KG, GMA News
