New round of fuel price hikes starts Tuesday

Oil companies on Monday announced an upward adjustment in prices of petroleum products this week.

Flying V, SEAOIL Philippines Inc., Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc., Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc., and Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. are raising the pump prices of diesel by P0.60 per liter, and gasoline by P0.35.

Shell, SEAOIL, and Flying V are also increasing the price of kerosene by P0.40 per liter.

The price adjustments will take effect at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 4, except for Flying V which will implement the changes at 12:01 a.m. the same day.

Latest data available from the Department of Energy (DOE) showed diesel prices in the country currently range from P24.65 to P28.02 per liter, and gasoline from P34.75 to P43.45. — Jon Viktor Cabuenas/VDS, GMA News
