Rollback in fuel prices seen next week —oil industry players

After four straight weeks of increases, pump prices of petroleum products are expected to rollback in the coming week, oil industry players said Saturday.

In its fuel forecast for the week of February 5 to 10, Unioil said the prices per liter of diesel should go down by P0.30 to P0.40 and gasoline by P0.60 to P0.70.

In a separate advisory, Jetti said the price of diesel may be slashed by P0.35 to P0.40 per liter and gasoline should rollback by P0.65 to P0.70 per liter.

Local oil companies usually implement price adjustments every Tuesday of the week.

Phoenix Petroleum Philippines earlier rolled back the prices of its fuel products effective 6 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019.
