Gasoline, diesel, kerosene prices up for 3rd consecutive week on Tuesday


Higher pump prices of petroleum products will again greet motorists on Tuesday, marking the third consecutive week of fuel price increases.

In separate advisories on Monday, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Flying V, Petron Corp., Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., and SEAOIL Philippines Inc. said they will hike prices per liter of gasoline by P1.45, diesel by P1.45, and kerosene by P1.35.

Eastern Petroleum Corp., Jetti Petroleum Inc., Petro Gazz, PTT Petroleum Philippines Inc., and TOTAL (Philippines) Inc. will implement similar changes, excluding kerosene, which they do not carry.

The changes will take effect 6 a.m. on Tuesday, February 26. Other firms have yet to announce adjustments for the week as of posting time.

According to the latest available data from the Department of Energy (DOE), prices currently range from P41.80 to P59.34 per liter of gasoline, from P40.35 to P47.30 for diesel, and from P49.30 to P52.45 for kerosene. —Jon Viktor D. Cabuenas/KBK/BM, GMA News
