DTI warns elderly of text scam pretending to remind seniors of unclaimed ayuda

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has warned senior citizens against text scams on COVID-19 aid.

According to a report on "24 Oras", the DTI said the scammers would pretend to remind senior citizens of their unclaimed COVID-19 assistance.

The department advised senior citizens to ignore the message and the sender, as well as block the numbers.

Senior citizens were also advised to protect their personal information.
