Diesel and kerosene down by over P4/liter Tuesday, gasoline unchanged

Oil firms on Monday announced another round of pump price rollbacks to mark the third straight week of cuts for diesel and kerosene, while keeping gasoline prices unchanged.

In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Petron Corp., Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and Seaoil Philippines Inc. said they will cut down prices per liter of diesel by P4.15, and kerosene by P4.45.

Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc., and Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.

The adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, September 20, for all the firms except for Caltex and Cleanfuel which will adjust prices at 12:01 a.m.

Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.

Firms last week rolled back prices per liter of gasoline by P0.45, diesel by P1.45, and kerosene by P1.70.

Latest data from the Department of Energy (DOE) show that year-to-date total adjustments stand at a net increase of P17.45 per liter for gasoline, P29.10 per liter for diesel, and P24.30 per liter for kerosene as of August 16, 2022. — RSJ, GMA News
