Gasoline pump prices up, diesel and kerosene down Tuesday, May 27, 2025

Pump prices of gasoline will be hiked for the second straight week on Tuesday, while those of diesel and kerosene will be rolled back.

In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Petron Corp., Seaoil Philippines Corp. and Shell Pilipinas Corp. said they will hike prices per liter of gasoline by P0.10, while rolling back those of diesel by P0.20, and kerosene by P0.40.

Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz and PTT Philippines Corp. will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.

The adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, for all the firms except for Cleanfuel which will implement the changes at 8:01 a.m. the same day.

Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.

The Department of Energy-Oil Industry Management Bureau (DOE-OIMB) earlier projected mixed movements this week, citing reports of progress toward a US-Iran nuclear deal, cooling trade tensions between the US and China, the additional crude oil storage capacity in Iran’s Export Terminal, and optimism on global oil demand.

Fuel retailers last week hiked prices per liter of gasoline and kerosene by P1.20 each, and diesel by P1.70. — RSJ, GMA Intgerated News
