Pump price rollback set Tuesday, August 12, 2025
Motorists will get a slight reprieve this week, as fuel retailers on Monday announced a pump price rollback following four straight weeks of increases for those of diesel and kerosene.
In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Flying V, Petron Corp., Seaoil Philippines Corp. and Shell Pilipinas Corp. said they will roll back prices per liter of gasoline by P0.40, diesel by P1.50, and kerosene by P1.30.
Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz and Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.
The adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m. Tuesday, August 12, for all the firms except for Cleanfuel which will roll back prices at 8:01 a.m. the same day.
Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.
The Department of Energy-Oil Industry Management Bureau (DOE-OIMB) earlier projected rollbacks this week, citing the rising supply, and the confusion over potential US tariffs on buyers of Russian oil.
Firms last week hiked prices of gasoline by P1.90, diesel by P1.20, and kerosene by P1.00. — RSJ/BM, GMA Integrated News
