Gasoline pump prices up for 3rd straight week Tuesday; diesel and kerosene down
Motorists will have to pay more for gasoline products anew this week, as retailers on Monday announced mixed movements for pump prices, with gasoline up for the third straight week.
In separate advisories, Petron Corp., Seaoil Philippines Corp., and Shell Pilipinas Corp. said they will hike prices per liter of gasoline by P0.20, while lowering those of diesel and kerosene by P0.20 each.
Cleanfuel, and Petro Gazz, PTT Philippines Corp., and Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. will implement the same changes excluding kerosene, which they do not
The adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m. Tuesday, December 16, for all the firms, except for Cleanfuel which will implement the changes at 4:01 p.m. the same day.
Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.
The Department of Energy-Oil Industry Management Bureau (DOE-OIMB) earlier projected rollbacks for gasoline, diesel, and kerosene this week, citing the easing of global prices as investors shift their focus back to the Russia-Ukraine peace talks.
Fuel retailers last week hiked prices per liter of gasoline by P1.20. There were no movements in the prices of diesel and kerosene.
Year-to-date adjustments stood at a net increase of P19.90 per liter for gasoline, P21.75 per liter for diesel, and P6.75 per liter for kerosene as of December 2, 2025. — RSJ, GMA Integrated News
