Pump price rollback set Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025
Motorists will be greeted with lower pump prices of petroleum products this week, but this will not be enough to offset the increases retailers have implemented so far this year.
In separate advisories, Seaoil Philippines Corp. and Shell Pilipinas Corp. said they will roll back prices per liter of gasoline by P0.80, diesel by P1.30, and kerosene by P1.60.
Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.
The adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, December 23, for all the firms, except for Cleanfuel which will roll back prices at 8:01 a.m. the same day.
Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.
The latest announcements are in line with projections made by the Department of Energy-Oil Industry Management Bureau (DOE-OIMB), citing the robust supply and weak demand that have overshadowed “temporary” geopolitical spikes.
Firms last week hiked prices per liter of gasoline by P0.20, while lowering those of diesel and kerosene by P0.20 each.
This brought year-to-date net increases to P21.30 per liter for gasoline, P21.55 per liter for diesel, and P6.55 per liter for kerosene as of December 16, 2025. — RSJ, GMA Integrated News
