PH aims to enhance business ease, expand investments with Korea
The Philippine government seeks to improve the ease of doing business with Korean firms, the Office of the Executive Secretary said Tuesday.
Executive Secretary Ralph Recto met with His Excellency Lee Sang-Hwa, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Philippines, on Monday with the aim to deepen bilateral ties and explore opportunities on how to attract more Korean investments into the country.
Recto ensured that the Philippine government is proactively addressing investor concerns to make the country a more competitive and secure investment destination.
For his part, the Korean envoy conveyed strong support for the Philippines’ hosting of ASEAN meetings this year, noting that South Korea is keen on building stronger relations with the region.
The Philippines and South Korea also reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties as the two nations prepare to celebrate the 77th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties next month.
Also present during the meeting were Senior Deputy Executive Secretary Maria Luwalhati Dorotan Tiuseco; Undersecretaries Erwin Sta. Ana and Facundo Palafox IV of the Office of the Executive Secretary; and Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) Undersecretary Benjamin Acorda Jr. — Anna Felicia Bajo/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
