PH, Japan eyeing expanded cooperation for trade, investments

The Philippines and Japan on Wednesday pushed for expanded cooperation in their trade and investment relations, Malacañang said on Wednesday.

This was as President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. welcomed delegates of the Economic Cooperation Committees of Japan and the Philippines in for their 42nd annual joint meeting at the Palace.

Both parties committed to bolster their ties to pursue stronger jobs and bigger investments between the two nations.

They also pushed for expanded cooperation in trade, infrastructure, tourism, and human resource development, with a clear focus on generating more employment and sustainable long-term growth.

The meeting reaffirmed the Philippines and Japan’s strong and strategic partnership anchored on shared prosperity and concrete economic results for both nations, the Palace added. — JMA, GMA Integrated News
