Pump prices up by over P1/liter Tuesday, March 3, 2026

Motorists will have to pay more for petroleum products anew this week, as retailers on Monday announced a major round of price hikes to mark the eighth straight week of increases for gasoline, and the 10th for both diesel and kerosene amid the strikes between the United States, and Iran.

In an advisory separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Seaoil Philippines Corp., and Shell Pilipinas Corp. said they will hike prices per liter of gasoline by P1.90, diesel by P1.20, and kerosene by P1.50.

Cleanfuel, and Petro Gazz will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.

The adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, for all the firms except for Cleanfuel which will hike prices at 4:01 p.m. the same day.

Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.

The Department of Energy-Oil Industry Management Bureau (DOE-OIMB) earlier projected increases of up to over P1 per liter for gasoline for this week, citing the ongoing conflict between the US and Iran.

US-Israeli airstrikes killed Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei over the weekend, which American President Donald Trump celebrated. The death was later confirmed by Iranian state media.

Firms last week hiked prices per liter of gasoline by P0.60, and diesel and kerosene by P1.20 each.

This brought year-to-date adjustments stood at a net increase of P4.80 per liter for gasoline, P8.20 per liter for diesel, and P6.20 per liter for kerosene as of February 24, 2026. — RSJ, GMA Integrated News
