ASEAN-China Business Summit to showcase Philippine business, tourism
The Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) on Saturday said it is holding the ASEAN-China Business Summit.to highlight Philippine business and boost tourism.
In a statement, the FFCCCII shared that it will host the summit from October 18 to 20, 2026, in line with the country’s 2026 ASEAN Chairmanship.
The group said it hopes to position the private sector as a “bridge between Southeast Asia and global markets” through foreign direct investment (FDI), two-way trade, and the integration of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
“This is a golden opportunity to showcase the best of the Philippines… As we mark the fifth anniversary of the ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and harness the RCEP, our message is clear: The Philippines is open for business and ready to welcome the world,” said FFCCCII President Victor Lim.
FFCCCII added that the summit will encourage delegates to explore the country as potential investors and returning visitors.
“Every delegate is a potential tourist and a potential investor. Let us unite in extending the highest level of hospitality,” Lim said.
Earlier, the group described the Philippines’ ASEAN chairmanship as an “opportunity for progress” and called for comprehensive socio-economic reforms.
Among their proposed reforms to drive inclusive growth in 2026 were policy adjustments, digitization initiatives, and structural reforms for the Philippine economy.—MCG, GMA Integrated News
