Toll discounts for select PUVs, trucks on SLEx, STAR from March 23 — SMC
Toll rebates will be granted to select public utility vehicles (PUVs) and cargo trucks using the South Luzon Expressway (SLEx) and STAR Tollway beginning March 23, as part of efforts to ease the burden on drivers amid rising fuel prices, San Miguel Corporation (SMC) Infrastructure said on Sunday.

SLEx, is about 49.5 km and runs from Alabang, Muntinlupa to Sto. Tomas, Batangas, while the STAR Tollway, about 42 km, connects Sto. Tomas to Batangas City.
TPLEx is about 89 km, extending the country’s northern expressway network from Tarlac City to Rosario in La Union.
SMC said motorists must have an active Autosweep RFID account and no outstanding traffic violations on any of its toll roads—including Skyway, SLEx, STAR, TPLEx, and NAIAx—to qualify for the rebate.
Qualified vehicles with active Autosweep accounts are no longer required to register.
“Vehicles with Autosweep To Go accounts must submit the required documents for full account verification at Autosweep customer service centers to ensure rebates are properly credited to legitimate owners or operators,” SMC Infrastructure said in a statement.
“Eligible vehicles that continue to use cash must enroll in Autosweep and submit documentary requirements, including valid certificates of public convenience issued by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB),” it added.
Enrollment will run for two weeks, from March 23 to April 4.
“To remain eligible for the program, participating vehicles must continue to comply with prevailing traffic rules and regulations across SMC’s expressway network throughout the duration of the program,” SMC Infrastructure said.
The rebate program will run for two months and will be subject to review by the Department of Transportation and the Toll Regulatory Board.
Other toll roads, including the North Luzon Expressway, CAVITEx, Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway, and Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway, will also implement discounts starting March 23.—MCG, GMA Integrated News
