BOC surpasses March 2026 collection target by 1.4%

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) surpassed its collection target in March, with its revenue for the month reaching P84.426 billion.

In a news release on Wednesday, the BOC said its last month’s collection was 1.4%, or P1.190 billion, higher than its P83.237 billion goal.

The Customs’ March revenue also grew by  5.1% or P4.067 billion higher than the P80.359 billion collected in the same month last year.

For his part, Customs Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno said the BOC’s strong performance translates directly into better public services, funding for infrastructure, and support for social programs that benefit millions of Filipinos.

Nepomuceno said the bureau continues to advance reforms anchored on digitalization, transparency, and ease of doing business.

“I extend my deepest appreciation to our District Collectors, port personnel, and all BOC employees across the country. Your hard work, discipline, and commitment to honest service made this accomplishment possible. This is a shared victory for every Customs officer who continues to uphold our mandate with integrity,” he said. —VAL, GMA News
