LPG price rolls back by P5 per kilo
Households should expect a reprieve this month as the retail prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) are slashed for this month.
In an advisory, Petron said it will implement a P5.00 per kilogram rollback on all Petron Gasul and Fiesta Gas household cylinder types and variants, beginning June 2, 2026.
Solane, likewise, said it is slashing the price of its 11-kilogram LPG tank by P5.00 per kilogram, effective June 4, 2026 at 6 a.m.
The price rollback would translate to a reduction of P55 in the price of a typical 11-kilogram LPG cylinder.
Last month, fuel retailers hiked the price of LPG by P1.22 per kilogram or around P13.42 per 11-kilogram tank.
Prices of an 11-kilo LPG are estimated to range from P1,070.42 to P1,701.77 as of May, according to the latest date from the Department of Energy. —VAL, GMA News
