LIST: DTI releases school supplies price guide for SY 2026-2027

As families prepare for the opening of classes, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has released its latest “Gabay sa Pamimili ng School Supplies” or School Supplies Price Guide for School Year 2026-2027 to help consumers compare prices and make informed purchasing decisions.

The guide provides suggested price ranges for commonly purchased school items, including notebooks, pad papers, pencils, ballpens, crayons, erasers, sharpeners, and rulers.

Based on the DTI's latest advisory, writing and composition notebooks with 80 leaves are priced between P13 and P52, while spiral notebooks range from P14 to P49 and yarn notebooks from P14 to P47.

Grade pad paper is priced from P13 to P37 per pad or pack, while intermediate pad paper ranges from P22 to P69.75 per pad.

For writing materials, pencils cost between P12 and P18 per piece and P15 and P24 per pack.

Ballpens range from P3 to P21 per piece and P18 to P27 per pack.

Meanwhile, crayons are priced from P12 to P114 per box depending on the number of colors, while erasers range from P8 to P20 per piece.

Sharpeners are priced from P16 to P69, and rulers from P8 to P32.

According to the DTI, the price guide is intended to give consumers more options as they shop for school supplies ahead of the new academic year.
