Big-time pump price hike set Tuesday, July 28, 2026

Motorists will have to pay more for petroleum products anew this week, as retailers on Monday announced another round of big-time pump price increases.

In an advisory, separate advisories, Petron Corp., Seaoil Philippines Inc., and Shell Pilipinas Corp. said they will hike prices per liter of gasoline by P6.80, diesel by P7.30, and kerosene by P4.20.

Petron Gazz and Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.

The adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m. on on Tuesday, July 28.

Othe firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.

Oil industry sources earlier projected big-time pump price hikes this week, citing the movement in global prices due to concerns of further disruptions to oil supplies as the Strait of Hormuz remains largely closed to vessel traffic.

Firms last week hiked prices per liter of gasoline by P3.50 to P3.55, diesel by P10 to P10.68, and kerosene by P11.60 to P11.77.

This brought year-to-date adjustments to a total net increase of P49.92 per liter for gasoline, P50.43 per liter for diesel, and P48.39 per liter for kerosene as of July 27, 2026. — RSJ, GMA News
