Valenzuela’s Gatchalian lays out troubles caused by RFID system
Valenzuela City Mayor Rex Gatchalian on Monday laid out the inconveniences and problems caused by the RFID glitches during the local government’s dialogue with the North Luzon Expressway management.
According to Saleema Refran’s report on GMA News TV's Balitanghali, Gatchalian stressed that RFID glitches caused serious traffic jams and troubled Valenzuela citizens.
He said NLEX Corporation was inefficient during their shift to a digital cashless system.
Gatchalian noted that after he suspended the business permit of the NLEX Corporation, the traffic jams were cleared.
Meanwhile, NLEX said it is planning to implement a barrier up scheme during times of heavy traffic.
Last week, Gatchalian officially served the local government’s suspension of NLEX’s business permit over the RFID mess that caused heavy traffic in the city.
