Toyota PH tops contributors in BOC-Batangas Port H1 2025, remits P24.09B
Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP) on Wednesday said it was recognized as the top revenue contributor to the Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Batangas for the first six months of 2025.
In a news release, TMP said it remitted P24.09 billion in duties and taxes to the BOC-Port of Batangas during the period, up 29% in the same period last year.
The car maker said the recognition was announced during the BOC-Port of Batangas' 68th Founding Anniversary Celebration and Thanksgiving for Partners held on August 20, 2025.
Citing information from the Batangas port district, the company said its contribution accounts for 35.7% of the top 10 importers in the first semester of 2025.
Moreover, BOC-Port of Batangas' year-to-date collection as of August 19, 2025 reached P145.05 billion, an 11.6% increase over the same period in 2024.
Motor vehicles and fuel products continue to be the primary revenue-generating commodities of the Port of Batangas.
TMP added it is one of the few companies that holds an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Level 2 accreditation from the BOC.
"This status provides benefits such as expedited customs clearance and dedicated processing lanes, further streamlining TMP's logistical operations," it said.
"In response to the momentum of Philippine motorization which indicates economic growth and opportunities, TMP has its Batangas Vehicle Center (BVC) strategically located six kilometers away from the Port of Batangas to enhance the efficiency of processing and delivery of Toyota and Lexus products to customers, as well as production parts and service components," it added. — VDV, GMA Integrated News
