PSE activates new LED board and web-based automated disclosure system

(Updated 1:00 a.m. Dec. 28) A bright new LED trading board and a new disclosure system was unwrapped at the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) two days after Christmas Day.

The energy-saving and environment-friendly light emitting diode (LED) board was unveiled Friday morning at the Ayala Trading Floor as the exchange celebrated its 10th listing anniversary.

PSE president and CEO Hans B. Sicat reminded listed companies and market participants that the PSE Electronic Disclosure Generation Technology (PSE EDGE) system acquired from the Korea Exchange went online Friday.

Sicat said in an advisory to market participants that the migration to PSE EDGE will “further standardize the disclosure reporting procees of listed companies, improve investors' disclosure searching and viewing, and enhance overall issuer transparency in the market.”

Old disclosures using the previous Online Disclosure System (OdiSy) will still be available on the exchange's website, while the new disclosures can be accessed at http://edge.pse.com.ph .

Recently, the PSE was named as one of the top 50 best performing listed companies in the Philippines in the 2013 ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard for Publicly-Listed Companies

The ASEAN Capital Markets Forum and the Asian Development Bank jointly initiated the ACGS as part of the ASEAN Capital Market Integration Plan in 2015. — ELR, GMA News
