Policy holders from different provinces have been going to the Loyola head office in Makati City to get their pre-need claims, reported Maki Pulido on GMA-7’s “24 Oras” on Thursday.

One of them is Gina Daodoy who is from Zambales.

April 8, magti-text sila, wala pa rin po,” she said.

“Pinaghirapan po namin iyan... Ngayon, iyong bunso, para sa kanya iyan. Eh may edad na po kami. Wala siyang magagamit kung hindi nila ibigay,” she said.

A soldier also went to Loyola Plans office hoping to get his claim.

Edgar Depalog said.

The Insurance Commission revealed that Loyola Plans Consolidated Inc. needs P238 million to turn over to pre-need planholders. Insurance Commissioner Emmanuel Dooc said the company should have no problems in providing the claims.

Makikipag-ugnayan kami sa kanilang trustee banks,” he said.

Loyola Plans is yet to give a comment on the issue.

Aside from Loyola Plans, Commissioner Dooc said they are also keeping an eye on three other insurance companies. But he declined to name them.

— Trisha Macas, BAP, GMA News
