ICTjob.ph’s survey on average salaries of IT professionals

Project managers were the highest-paid roles in the Philippine information technology (IT) industry during the first six months of 2019, data released by job portal ICTjob.ph on Monday showed.

According to results of the latest ICT Barometer, project managers in the ICT field have an average monthly salary of P147,500.

They were followed by IT managers with an average pay of P141,700 for senior positions, and P75,000 for junior positions.

Coming in at third were those involved in IT security or network and system security, with senior positions paid P99,000, middle positions at P38,800, and juniors at P17,500.

Here is a list of ICT roles and their respective salaries per position.

“Based on our study, the more complex and in-demand the skill, the higher the base salary one can expect from employers even if one has just started working for the ICT industry,” said Fred Tshidimba, founder and chief innovation officer at ICTjob.ph

The ICT Barometer provides data on estimated gross monthly salaries of different IT professions based on the corresponding role, specialization, skill, and level of expertise.

Results were based on data gathered from ICTjob.ph’s clients and their requirements versus the IT talent’s asking salary and skills from January to June 2019. —Jon Viktor Cabuenas/VDS, GMA News
