Do you have errands to run at the bank this holiday season? If so, better check your bank’s schedule before going, because most banks change their opening and closing time during this time of the year. Some of them are closed on certain days, while others extend their operating hours as Christmas draws nearer. 

If you need help figuring out what’s best time to go to the bank, here is a guide to banking this holiday season that you might find helpful:

Bangko de Oro Unibank (BDO)

Most BPO branches are open from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm or 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on regular weekdays. Selected branches also operate on weekends and certain holidays. Their ATMs and electronic banking services are also always available.

Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI)

Selected BPI branches usually offers extended banking hours on certain days in December and January, to cater the needs of their customers during the holiday season. They are open on regular weekdays from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Metrobank

Metrobank is usually closed on holidays, like Christmas and New Year, but their ATMs, cash accept machines, and online and mobile banking services are still available on those days. They operate on regular weekdays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC)

Most RCBC branches are open on Mondays to Fridays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. However, during Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve they usually only operate half day, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. They are also normally closed on Christmas Day and New Year.

Security Bank

Only selected branches of Security Bank are open on December 24 and 30, while all their branches are closed on December 25, 31, and January 1. They are open from Monday to Fridays on 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB)

All UCPB branches operate from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm on Mondays to Fridays, but they also have selected branches that are open until 4:00 pm on Saturdays. During the holidays, their schedule usually changes and they are closed on some days.
