2nd coin in BSP festival coin series shows Tan-ok ni Ilocano Festival

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) on Sunday introduced its second coin in the 100-Piso Philippine Festivals Commemorative Coin Series that will feature the Tan-ok ni Ilocano Festival.

In a social media post, the BSP featured the Tan-ok ni Ilocano Festival coin for the month of February.

The said cultural festival is set to be held on February 28 at the Marcos Stadium in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte.

The commemorative coin will be for sale for P5,000 on that date at the BSP Pop-up Store at the Ferdinand E. Marcos Memorial Stadium.

It will be also sold online through the BSP online store starting March 9.

Earlier, the BSP launched the first coin in the 100-Piso Philippine Festivals Commemorative Coin Series that featured the Sinulog Festival of Cebu. However, stocks of the commemorative P100 coin quickly ran out. — JMA, GMA Integrated News
