Glitch disrupts LRT-1 operations in Monumento

A glitch briefly disrupted the operations of the Light Rail Transit Line 1 in Monumento in northern Metro Manila Friday morning.

 

In a radio interview, LRT Administration spokesman Hernando Cabrera said the affected train stalled at the southbound part of the Monumento station in Caloocan City.

 

"Nagkaroon ng aberya sa southbound ng Monumento, pero napagalaw na nila," Cabrera said in an interview on dzBB radio.

 

Citing initial reports reaching him, he said the incident occurred shortly after 10 a.m.

 

He said the affected train is to be brought outside the line for inspection.

 

The LRT Line 1 links Roosevelt in Quezon City to Baclaran in southern Metro Manila. — RSJ, GMA News
