Erap, Isko to Manila voters: Dupe vote-buyers

The Joseph Estrada-Isko Moreno tandem in Manila has an advice to voters who will be approached by vote-buyers: “Accept the money, but vote for us.” "Wag nilang ibenta ang boto nila dahil pag binenta nila ang boto nila... 'yung pulitiko hindi lang sampung beses babawiin sa kaban ng bansa," said Estrada, a former President who is running for mayor in the country's capital city. "Para turuan ng leksyon ['yung mga 'yun], tanggapin 'yung pera, lagay sa bulsa [pero] Estrada sa balota," he added in jest. Moreno, the incumbent vice mayor seeking re-election, warned Manila voters about suspicious people who will knock on their doors on the eve of Election Day. "Ingatan po ninyo ang boto ninyo," he said during the miting de avance of the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) in Manila Friday night. But in case if the vote-buyers insist, Moreno told voters: “Tanggapin po ninyo ang pera o suhol ng isa pagkatapos ang ilagay Estrada, Isko sa balota," he said. Both Estrada and Moreno were former actors before they entered politics. — Kimberly Jane Tan/KBK, GMA News
