Crowd volume at Manila North Cemetery reaches over 1 M
The crowd volume at Manila North Cemetery has already crossed the 1 million mark on Thursday afternoon.
A report from GMA News TV's Quick Response Team said that as of 3 p.m., 1.2 million visitors have already flocked to the public cemetery.
Some children even got lost in the midst of the busy crowd, the report added.
Seven kids were brought to the administrative office of the cemetery--six of them were already reunited with their families; a little boy is yet to be picked-up by his guardians.
A pick-pocketing incident was also reported.
The police officers reminded the visitors to remain vigilant. They also discouraged bringing along children in crowded cemeteries.
Wheelchair service were made available for senior citizens.
The Manila Health Department also offered free HIV test.
A service booth from GMA Network that enables water refilling and cellphone charging was accessible to the public.
Porter service, first aid, free security name tag for children, and candles were also available in the said booth. — Dona Magsino/RSJ, GMA News
