Eleazar relieves from post Las Piñas police chief, 36 others
National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Director Guillermo Eleazar on Friday relieved from post the head of the Las Piñas City Police following the involvement of four of his underlings in a robbery-extortion incident.
A report by Luisito Santos on Super Radyo dzBB said aside from Senior Superintendent Marion Balonglong, also removed from their posts were 36 Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) operatives in connection with the same incident.

Eleazar cited command responsibility in ordering Balonglong's relief. He appointed Senior Superintendent Simnar Gran, chief of Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division of the NCRPO, as OIC of Las Piñas Police.

The 36 SDEU members, meanwhile, were placed under the custody of the District Personnel Administration Holding Section of the Southern Police District while undergoing investigation. —KBK, GMA News
