Portion of Skyway Stage 3 collapses due to Pandacan, Manila fire

A portion of the currently under construction Skyway Stage 3 project has collapsed due to the fire that broke out at a warehouse in Pandacan, Manila on Saturday.

In a Facebook post, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) spokesperson and Build, Build, Build committee chairperson Anna Mae Lamentillo said the agency is monitoring the fire in Pandacan, Manila that affected the Skyway Stage 3 project.

"We will provide updates as soon as information from the assessment, investigation is available," Lamentillo said.

The fire at a warehouse of San Miguel Corp broke out at 10:36 a.m., according to the Bureau of Fire Protection. The blaze reached Task Force Bravo past 11 a.m.

Firemen were able to put the fire under control at 1:52 p.m., according to a report by Ralph Obina on Super Radyo dzBB. — Ted Cordero/MDM, GMA News
