Several cities in Metro Manila declare state of calamity

Several cities in Metro Manila have declared state of calamity on Sunday afternoon, hours after the National Capital Region (NCR) enforced the order placing the entire area under a community quarantine.

Among the cities placed under state of calamity on Sunday were: 

• The City of Manila,
• San Juan City,
• Las Piñas City, 
• Pasay City, and
• Quezon City.

At 12 noon Sunday, the presidential directive placing the NCR under community quarantine took effect. —LBG, GMA News
