95-year-old Mandaluyong local recovers from COVID-19
A 95-year-old man has been discharged from a hospital in Mandaluyong City after recovering from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), Mayor Menchie Abalos announced Sunday.
Cresencio Junio was previously admitted at the Mandaluyong City Medical Center, according to a Facebook post by Abalos.
As he was being discharged, Junio held up a sign that read: “I’m a 95 y/o COVID survivor!”
The patient was sent off with a round of applause from the medical and local government staff as he exited the hospital.
As of Saturday afternoon, Mandaluyong had recorded 150 COVID-19 cases with 16 deaths and 20 recoveries.
Over 400 other Mandaluyong residents were suspected COVID-19 cases.
Nationwide, the disease has killed 297 patients and infected over 4,000 people. — DVM, GMA News
