MRT3 to offer free rides on Independence Day

Commuters will get to ride the MRT3 for free on June 12 in celebration of the country's Independence Day, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said on Thursday.

On its Facebook page, the DOTr said MRT3 will offer free rides from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m, and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Filipinos will celebrate the 123rd Independence Day on June 12, which is a regular holiday.

This year's Independence Day theme is "Kalayaan 2021: Diwa sa Pagkakaisa at Paghilom ng Bayan."  —KBK, GMA News
