Grenade found in Port Area, Manila
Authorities found an unpinned grenade on a wooden cart in Port Area, Manila on Sunday morning.
The grenade was found past 9 a.m. on a "kariton" parked in front of the office of The Philippine Star, according to a report by Manny Vargas on Super Radyo dzBB.
Police then cordoned off the area on 13th Street and Railroad Street.
Police Colonel Robert Domingo, chief of the Port Area Station of the Manila Police District (MPD), said the cart owner and a pedicab driver saw the grenade without its pin.
Operatives from the Explosives and Ordnance Division of the MPD and the Philippine Coast Guard proceeded to the area to handle the matter.

Police said they are checking if the incident is linked to an arrest made an hour before the grenade was discovered.
