Erice to run for Caloocan mayor in Eleksyon 2022

Caloocan City Representative Edgar Erice on Friday announced that he would run for mayor of the city in next year's national and local elections.

"Isa na lang posisyon 'yung hindi ko pa nararanasan. Ngayon because of the experiences, because of the knowledge gained by these experiences, palagay ko maiaangat ko ang Caloocan into a different level," Erice said at a press conference.

(There's only one position I have not attained yet. Because of my experiences, the knowledge I gained through these experiences, I think I can develop Caloocan City into a different level.)

"Kaya 2022, I will be aspiring for the mayoralty of the City of Caloocan," Erice added.

Erice said he has been serving the city in the past 46 years.

It is already Erice's last term as representative of Caloocan City's 2nd District. — RSJ, GMA News
