Marikina River's water level back to normal status

The local government on Wednesday lifted first alarm status over Marikina River after the water level reached a normal level, which is at 14.9 meters.

On Facebook, Marikina Public Information Office lifted the "warning" alarm at 3:34 p.m. amid the inclement weather.

There were also no flooded areas reported, as of posting.

Before midnight, the Marikina River level was at 15 meters, prompting authorities to raise the first alarm.

PAGASA's earlier weather forecast showed that Metro Manila and various parts of Visayas and Mindanao will have occasional rains brought by the southwest monsoon. But the weather bureau also cautioned against flooding and landslides in case of heavy and moderate rainfall.—AOL, GMA News
