LRT2 stops ops on Saturday morning due to entangled balloon

The operations of the Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT2) were temporarily stopped on Saturday morning due to an entangled balloon.

“The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) Line 2 system is currently implementing a CODE RED/temporary Stop Operations due to an entangled balloon in-between Pureza Station and V. Mapa Station,” the LRTA said in an advisory posted on its Twitter page.

“Intervention is on-going. We apologize for the inconveniences,” it added.

At least 30 minutes later, the LRTA said the Code Red status or temporary stop operations was lifted.

LRT 2 CODE RED status or temporary stop operations is now lifted.
