Vivian Velez surfaces in Chavit presscon

Marami pa rin ang nagulat sa taglay na kaseksihan at kagandahan ng tinaguriang Ms. Body Beautiful ng kanyang panahon na si Vivian Velez, nang dumalo ito sa press conference ng senatorial candidate na si Chavit Singson sa Plaza Ibarra kamakailan. Sa panayam ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) kay Vivian, nasabi nitong she now prefers getting busy with the business she put up in Southern California, kesa maging busy muli sa TV at pelikula. "The last TV appearance na ginawa ko was for my role in Rio del Mar. I think that was a long time ago," sabi ni Vivian. Nang tanungin siya tungkol sa personal niyang buhay. "Three years ago naman, I got married to Sam Groskopf [a Canadian-German] who works for a company that has something to do with the environment. Nasa investment capitalist venture kasi siya. Pero we stay na in the US at umuuwi-uwi lang kami here dahil meron din kaming iba pang business dito sa atin," ang naging tugon niya. Dagdag pa niya, "We've put up an after-hospital care sa US called Medical HomeHealth Care. At pag nandito naman kami sa Philippines, we take care nga of mga environmental concerns—recycling, water-waste management, alternative fuel, yung bio-fuel, carbon emission, nag-aayos ng mga land fills—kaya my husband and I work together." At ilan na kaya ang anak ni Ms. Body Beautiful? Ang sagot ni Vivian, "Wala naman kaming kids kaya hands-on kami sa businesses that we take care of. I have two grown boys, 12 and 11, with my former Israeli husband, so dinadalaw ko rin sila pati na ang iba ko pang mga relatives who are here, and siyempre, my friends." Isa rin sa mga rason ng kanyang pagdalaw ay upang ipakita ang kanyang suporta kay senatorial candidate Chavit Singson. "The reason I am here din now is to support our very good friend, Chavit. Taga-Ilocos din naman ako dahil my dad hails from there. And matagal na naming kakilala ang mga Singson," aniya. What else do you miss in the Philippines? And masaya lang na every once in a while, may ganitong mga pagkakataon na nami-meet ko uli ang mga dati kong kasama sa industriya. By the way, Chavit's wife, Che, is a very good friend of mine. During the time na I was modeling pa, magkakilala na kami," paglalahad ni Vivian. To date, no other actress has performed the stunt that Vivian Velez did for Babaing Hinugot sa Tadyang, a film by Carlo J. Caparas. From the 10th floor of her condominium unit at Legaspi Towers (in front of the Cultural Center of the Philippines), she jumped, with no double.
